SPREADING THE LOVE OF MUSIC ACROSS BORDERS
“…being the first event of its kind to be hosted [in Brunei] will open up many more doors for the local producers! It couldn’t have came at a better time because… we’ve been seeing a great increase in budding young DJs and producers emerging into the scene who are very passionate… these are the members who will get the most out of WMW Sessions…” quoted Edmund Chin, one of the local partners from Brunei.
The concept and ideology behind the initiation of Wired Music Week was formed by a cross-cultural enthusiasm of the pioneering team of WMW Foundation. These visionaries who are passionate about the music industry and its growth are always looking into more ways in lending a helping hand to the blooming generation of talents from the local and global music industry.
“Being able to provide an educational platform to improve the present music scene in Asia one step at a time is a challenging task; yet satisfying when achieved,” John Beh, founder of WMW exclaimed when asked about his experience and thoughts about this initiative.

The new movement of WMW Session spreading across locations like Brunei, Vietnam, Philippines, and Indonesia acts as a 1-Day Crash Course for Electronic Music Industry. It plans to host a range of seminars, panels, interactive sessions, and later, paired with an after-hours session at night.
John Beh later added, “We want to reach out to those who can’t get to us and bring WMW to them. We all share the same passion and this is the least we can do to kickstart a common ground in bringing the music community closer together…”
